3rd Street Bridge
Starting March 2nd, the bridge over the creek on 3rd Street by the Catholic Church will be under construction. The only access to the school area will be either 5th Street or School Street, which runs perpendicular into 5th Street. The bus will load and unload students at the bottom of the 5th Street stairs. We will be having an adult working the 5th Street & River Street intersection as a crossing guard. All students walking will be required to use the steps coming and leaving school. In addition, we are not allowing students to ride their bikes to school due to the dangers of traffic congestion on 5th Street. Parents dropping off students at school will enter via 5th Street and exit using School Street. Same direction for after school pickup.
Students and staff will still be allowed to park on Park Avenue in front of the high school; however, finding open parking spots may be difficult and not guaranteed. A recommended parking alternative is using the trailhead parking lot on River Street between 2nd and 3rd Street.
We are doing the best we can to provide safe alternatives during the construction of the new bridge and would greatly appreciate your help. So,
